It isn’t the guns used to end the lives of #GeorgeFloyd or #BreonnaTaylor or #TrayvonMartin back in 2012 🔫 it isn’t the batons and riot gear that our nation’s boys in blue use to suppress and oppress black and brown bodies from speaking their truth ⚔️ it sure as hell isn’t the tear gas thrown in order to let an orange haired 5 y/o take a quick pic in front of a church with a book that stands against everything he embodies... ⛪️
It’s this very thing I hold in my hand: 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙘𝙖𝙢𝙚𝙧𝙖 with its shutter and 24-70mm lens and dual battery pack. It’s the still/moving moments I can capture that can speak a thousand+ words 📸 It’s documenting a moment in history that must see justice and equality brought about at the end of this 🩸brutal tunnel🩸 because we 𝘾𝘼𝙉𝙉𝙊𝙏 afford to go back to a world where people like #AhmaudArbery or #SandraBland or #PhilandoCastille can be taken from this Earth like fish & game.

We don’t want to protest. We should not 𝙃𝘼𝙑𝙀 to protest: but now? We Must. The African American community within this nation is in pain, and not only has been but still is bleeding from 400 years of servitude, segregation, and second-class status. •••✊🏽•••
